About Me:
Whether it's your first time seeking therapy, or you're returning to it. Whether you'd like to address a particular issue, or you'd like to have some self-care and self-development in place, I believe those who engage in therapy with a desire to grow and willingness to challenge themselves, will bring about positive change in their lives.
I am an experienced integrative counsellor and psychotherapist that offers sessions:
In-person, online, telephone, and specialises in counselling exclusively via email *
I hold a qualifying Diploma and a Counselling Degree, a certificate in mental health, a certificate in Email Counselling, and I have also obtained other training in modular courses.
As well as therapy qualifications, I am committed to Continuing Professional Development, and adhere to the ethical standard of the British Association of Counselling And Psychotherapy, of which I am a registered member.
Before training as a therapist, I have held over 20 years' experience working in the voluntary, private and public sectors, including working on projects with King's College London, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University College London and the Royal College of Nursing, Families First, Houses of Parliament, and London Borough councils' focusing on Physical Health, Mental Health, Homelessness, Families, Young People and Parents, Community, Anti-Social Behaviour, Bullying, and Fostering, and securing a contract to deliver care in one borough. I have worked closely with an accredited chartered psychologist working with families and writing specialist Court reports for judges. I am a charity Board Trustee and a co-author of published academic articles.
I am DBS checked and have experience working with people of diverse ages, cultural and class backgrounds.
My varied experience means I have gotten to work with people from all walks of life who are struggling with a range of issues, including - but not limited to - stress, depression, anxiety, bereavement, self-harm, displacement, discrimination, hallucinations (hearing voices, seeing things), dissociation, despair, perfectionism, trauma, issues at work, and more.
I welcome most anything you bring, I hold a safe space for all backgrounds and beliefs.

Email Therapy *
Therapy exclusively via email is a confidential asynchronous (not live) message exchange, useful for people such as those: with social anxiety, agoraphobia, presenting differently to their outward appearance and/or sound (eg. trans people), physically challenged or disabled, unwell, processing information differently (taking longer than average to receive information and then formulate response), or simply not able to commit to meeting at a specific hour.
You can take your time and ponder your thoughts between receiving and sending messages.
For exclusively email therapy - please indicate that Email Counselling is your preferred method of sessions, and where possible, use a secure encrypted email for all correspondence (Proton mail is one free option).
Workshops:
Tell your story safely and look after yourself.
How to create a plan to share some of your experiences in the media (eg. on interviews, podcasts, social media, etc), while keeping your personal elements safe, and looking after your well-being.
This can also be utilised in many different settings, applying it to relationships at work for example.
Once the technique has been understood, the plan can be updated at any time, and changed to suit each occasion.
More to come…
